The basic requirements are likely to be:
- Contracts of Employment for a small number of staff taking into account the Agriculture Wages Board requirements if appropriate and where necessary
- A handbook for each employee
- Employment policies that meet the needs of the Employment Relations Act 1996
- Policies that are required for the specific needs of the individual farming business
- Health and Safety Policy
- Any additional policy required to meet the specific needs of the company/business.
Larger Agricultural Businesses
Larger businesses will require more sophisticated Employment Policies and Procedures which would be discussed with the Managements concerned and then produced to their requirement.
